The excellent opacity(hiding power) of these clays make them suitable for Emulsion Paints, and high Ink receptivity in paper coating. These are mainly used in PVC Cable, Vitrified Tiles, Rubber, Ink and Ultramarine Blue. These at as a partial replacement (10-30%) in order to reduce the cost of expensive TiO₂ pigment.
